My guess is the host is causing some kind of conflict. When I try to select it, I get the same callee RC every time. Like Baron, I can come close at times because I can see the USB device listed on the VM guest window, but I can never get it mounted successfully. I have also tried this with and witout USB filtering. I have done everything recommended and tried every combination of ejecting/plugging a USB thumb drive, but I cannot get the XP guess to recognize it. My situation is identical to Baron's in post.
